MADISON MARTIN
Born May 17, 1989 Madison Martin's parents knew from a very young age that their daughter had an incredibly unique love for music. When she was age two she started playing guitar and piano and when she was just four years old she won her first singing contest being by far the youngest competetor there. She has won numerous singing contests since then as well as had the chance to sing at some very special events including the National Anthem at an Atlanta Braves game and a Georgia Bulldogs football game. She has also performed for soldiers at Ft. Benning when they returned from active duty in Iraq.
Her voice has been compared to superstars such as the very talented powerhouse vocalist Martina McBride as well as Lee Ann Womack and Celine Dion. "Madison has a power voice," states Letmond Recording's co-owner Tom Letson, "but she has a very southern twang to her voice, it's not nasal, just southern. She sounds like a cross between Martina McBride and Sara Evans and she sounds amazing when she sings, such a pure voice with such natural tone. Her voice is just there, it's not forced, it's just there and it's beautiful."
Letson helped Madison record a 30-song demo which was finished in May. Madison re-did songs by her favorite singers including Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Sara Evans, Lee Ann Womack, Jessica Andrews, Deana Carter, The Dixie Chicks and more. Unlike many artists in the business, there was no false production on Madison's demo. "Everything you hear on that demo is what I sang," says Madison, "there is not one single thing that was tuned about my vocal performance, I don't belive in that. What you hear is the real me."
There is talk Madison and Letmond Recording Company may release the demo later in the summer for the public to purchase. As of now though, no vocal performances are being released. Madison will be touring for seven dates with a Christian band as well as singing at her church, Northstar, and several fairs and events around the state this summer. Those dates will be on the site shortly.
