INNER PEACE PROJECT
Inner peace project was formed in June 2000 by Joe Hughes and Martin Toner as a side project and was purely experimental to begin with but as they began practising more often they decided that it was worthwhile starting the band properly. They then set about looking for a bass player and after a few trials with various bassists, settled on Gerard Sutton (25).
In the first few months they were together they built up a handful of carefully worked songs such as "Idiot" and "Contact". The band have no set style of music which has led to a lot of great opportunities for them including being offered a slot in the 2001 Saint Patricks day parade in Dublin but due to foot and mouth disease it was cancelled but they have a busy summer lined up. They are currently looking for an experienced drummer to complete their live line up.
They have recorded a song called "Contact" for the forthcoming "Garage lands:Energy fields 3" compilation CD and in the process impressed Various members of the undertones, Dave Fanning and many more.
They have been accepted to take part in a battle of the bands in O'Neills in Belfast this summer and will be playing constantly for the next 3 months all over Ireland and Italy alongside Yakuza and many more upcoming bands!!!!!
