why i chose to homeschool my child...

why i chose to homeschool my child...well where can i start??i prayed for two years before diving head first in this adventure..we are in our second year of home schooling.this year has been a little easier. i have really seen a difference in my childs attitude.. when he first came out of the public system he was tested to see what levels he was on by a christian school teacher. he was on 2nd and 3rd grade levels on alot ..since then he has improved every day. he took his sats last year and we compared his scores with the scores from public scores. and they doubled on some and tripled on the rest. that was all the proof i needed to continue.it is not easy to take this on .some days i ask myself ,whatare u doing???but other days when i see him smile at me when he learns something new , more than makes up for our bad days..he enjoys reading more now.. he has read so far this year 140 books!!!we are so proud of him for that. this past summer he won a 50$$savings bond from the public libary for reading the most books in his age group.he also got a scholarship for two weeks of arts camp..i could go on for hours writing about this but i will cut it short..if u are playing with the idea of doing this..go for it if i can do it any one can..
