My New Life
"I Did It" With God's Help
I had a strong head on my shoulders at 17 years old. I graduated high school and joined the army. About one year into my service for the Long Range Surveillance Detachment, I ended up in a parachuting accident. It was not looking good, one year later, for a total of 2years 5days, I was discharged medically. During that time I ended up losing all faith in the lord. I began to drink heavily and beleived my life was over. I met my wife Christina during my discharge. Some how she thought that I had something special, yet all I would do is tell her how I did not have a future anymore or anything else negative I could come up with. And yes I became so heavily depressed that I became an alchoholic for the better part of a year. No surgery, No medecine that could help me heal. I believed that my life was over. In the later part of 1999 I quit drinking and believed that if I worked in pain that I would eventually get better. Well that was a no go. I have went through over 8 jobs until December 2001. When I found the lord again and my prayers were answered. He answered them in the weirdest way.
I met a who just started in the hospital that I had worked for. He showed me some things for my pain releif that I will never forget.
